UFO Sightings in 2017 WASHINGTON — In the $600 billion annual Defense Department budgets, the $22 million spent on the Advanced Aerospace Threat Identification Program was almost impossible to find.  Which was how the Pentagon wanted it. For years, the program investigated reports of unidentified flying objects, according to Defense Department officials, interviews with program participants and records obtained by The New York Times. And in the past 15 years, thousands of UFO sightings across the United States show a lot of people are still looking.   "UFO Plane in USA" A new list of the top cities in the U.S. that have had UFO sightings from 2001-2015 has been published, with Phoenix topping the list, according to a story in the Syracuse New Times. The data is pulled from the book " UFO Sightings Desk Reference: United States of America 2001-2015," written by Cheryl Costa and Linda Miller Costa.
